Privacy Policy

Draft. This page is waiting for review and doesn't apply yet.

This policy explains what Runner Concepts LLC, a Florida limited liability company ("we") collects when you play Chess of Clans. The short version: we don't ask for your email, we don't show ads, and we don't sell your data.

Playing as a guest

A guest village stays in your browser on your device. It isn't sent to us unless you create an account, when it moves into that account.

What we keep if you create an account

• Your account: your player name and a salted hash of your password. We never store the password itself.
• Your game: your village, resources, levels, ratings, game results and replays, rewards, styles and layout.
• Clans: the clans you join, your donations and the messages you post.
• Purchases: what you bought, when, and Stripe's reference numbers for the payment.
• Game activity: records of things like upgrades and raid results, which we use to balance the game.
• Sign-in safety: your name and the time of failed log-in attempts, kept briefly to stop password guessing.

What we don't collect

We don't ask for your email address, real name, phone number, date of birth or location. We don't use advertising or analytics trackers, and we don't sell or rent your information.

What other players can see

• Your name, level, league and crowns on leaderboards, and your ratings in rated play.
• Your name and strength when other players are matched against you, raid you or play you live.
• Clan details and your clan messages, which your clanmates can see. Invite links show the clan's name and the name of the person who sent them.
• Your village, layout and votes, but only if you choose to show it to everyone in Settings.

Services we use

• Cloudflare hosts the game and its database. Like any web host, it handles your IP address and browser details when you connect.
• Stripe handles payments. When you buy rubies, you give your card details and email directly to Stripe. We never see your full card number. See Stripe's privacy policy.
• Google Fonts supplies the game's lettering, so your browser connects to Google when the game loads, which shares your IP address with Google.

Share buttons open WhatsApp, Telegram, X or your text or email app only if you tap them.

Cookies and storage

We use one cookie, which keeps you logged in for up to 30 days. Your browser also stores your village, sound setting and view choice on your device. We don't use tracking cookies.

How long we keep it

We keep your information while you have an account. You can delete your account in Settings, and most of it goes straight away. A few things stay:

• Purchase records stay for accounting, tax and fraud reasons.
• Clan messages stay in the clan's chat without your name, until that clan closes.
• Game records that involve other players, and the activity records we use for balancing, stay with your name removed.
• Backups can hold deleted information for a short time until they expire.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to see, correct, delete or move your information, or to object to how we use it. Email support@chessofclans.app and tell us your player name. Because we don't collect email addresses, we may ask you to prove the account is yours by logging in or posting something we suggest. You can also complain to your local data protection authority.

Children

You must be at least 13 to create an account, and the game doesn't knowingly collect information from younger children. If you think a child under 13 has an account, email us and we'll delete it.

Security

We protect passwords with salted hashing and connect to you over HTTPS. No system is perfectly secure, so please use a password you don't use anywhere else.

Where your information goes

Our services run around the world, so your information may be handled outside your country.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top. If a change is important, we'll tell you in the game.
