How it works
1. Build your village
Collect gold and marble, then upgrade your Barracks, Stables, Chapel and Rook Tower.
2. Raid with your squad
Upgrades add chess pieces to your squad, from 7 at the start up to 13. Pick a target and play it out on the board. Pieces always move by the normal rules.
3. Team up in a clan
Clans hold up to 30 players. Chat, donate pieces, fight clan wars and take on boss sieges together.

Questions
What kind of game is Chess of Clans?
It's a chess strategy game with base building, progression and clans. You upgrade a village, earn gold and marble from raids, and fight other kingdoms in real chess. Upgrades grow your squad and your base. They never change how the pieces move.
Is Chess of Clans free?
Yes. Every mode is free to play, there are no ads, and rubies are optional.
Do I need to download anything or sign up?
No download, ever. You can build your village, play the Campaign and solve the Daily Puzzle as a guest. Your guest village saves on that device. A free account needs only a name and password, and it moves your village online and opens every other mode.
Does it work on a phone?
Yes. It's built for phones first and runs in the browser on iPhone and Android, and on computers too. There's no App Store or Google Play app yet.
Is it real chess?
Yes. Pieces move by the normal rules in every battle. Kingdom Raids and Ranked games start from the normal starting position and play out to the end. Campaign raids put your squad against a smaller enemy army with one goal, such as capturing the Queen.
Do I need to be good at chess?
No. The Campaign starts with small goals like capturing a Rook, and the hint button suggests a move when you're stuck. Kingdom Raids let you pick easy, balanced or challenging targets.
Can I play chess with friends?
Yes. Make a free account, start a clan and send your friends the invite link. Clans hold up to 30 players, and clanmates can chat, challenge each other to live games and play friendly battles.
Can other players attack my village?
Yes, once you have an account. They play against the AI guarding your kingdom, so you don't need to be online. The Defense Academy makes that AI stronger, and reports show you how each raid went.
Who makes Chess of Clans?
A small team at Runner Concepts LLC. The game is new, so you may wait a while for a Ranked opponent, but AI battles are always ready.
